The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) “failed in their mission, the residents of Kibbutz Nir or next to the demarcation fence with the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, where they arrive 40 minutes after their massacre has been completed, according to an investigation published today that the IDF had published. On October 7, 2023, there were 386 inhabitants in the Kibbutz, and more than 500 Palestinian militant took control of the area and spread death and destruction. The investigation lifted the heroism of local security forces in NIR or, the few members of which fought alone for about two hours, and the courage of the residents who did everything to protect themselves and their relatives. In the study, the failures of the army was also emphasized to enable a large number of Hamas militants to penetrate the Kibbutz without seeing a single soldier.

The investigation came to the conclusion that the IDF “failed in its mission to protect the residents of Nir OZ”, especially because the military had never prepared for such an event, namely a community that was taken hostage by terrorists, as well as a large attack on several cities and military bases, which were also attacked by thousands of thousands of thousands of thousands. On October 7, 2023, about 5,600 terrorists broke across the border, killed around 1,200 people and took 251 hostages in Gaza. A total of 47 people, including 41 inhabitants and six young people who had fled near the Nova Festival, were killed in the attack on Kibbutz. Another 76 were kidnapped by terrorists: 67 killed alive and nine that day, either in Nir Oz, on the way to the Gaza Strip or in the strip itself. 13 of the 67 living hostages were killed in the Gaza Strip during the war. To date, five suspected hostage and the corpses of nine hostages in Gaza remain after 49 were released and the corpses of 13 others have been returned to Israel.
