When spring approaches in the northern hemisphere, many of us are in shape again after a long, cold winter.
To get back on the track, fitness, wellness and nutrition expert Penny Weston, who runs the Moddershall Oaks Health Spa and the Wellness Center, he shared its top tips.
Slower exercises
When you are just starting or returning to fitness, start slowly to avoid injuries and build your self -confidence.
“If you have the motivation low, slower exercises can be a good option for you,” says Penny. “Life has become more stressful, faster and everything, and I think people look for slower exercises to switch off and relax.”
Home training
Going the gym or training in a public place can be intimidating and expensive. So why not at home?
“You don't always have to go to the gym to achieve good training. You can get really good training at home, just with your own body weight,” explains the expert and notes that you can use household items such as water bottles as weights to make it more difficult.
Train with a friend
The conversion of workouts into social activities makes experience more positive and motivated, while a friendly competition can encourage you to develop further.
“It is the key: for many people it is the right way to achieve this to achieve this to achieve this,” says Penny. “Often we subconsciously look for an apology not to do training and will find many other things instead, but if you know that you have planned it with a friend, you will rather visit because you don't want to let you down.”
Have a training plan
If you go into training without a plan, you can spend too much time to decide what to do and not enough time during training.
“If you go to the gym, let your training plan plan in advance so that you know where you are going there when you arrive there,” recommends Penny. “I would also have a backup training ready, so you will not be thrown off if the equipment you need is not free.”
She adds: “If you plan your training and put it in your diary, it is more likely that you will make it possible.”
