Google Pixel 9a Lecks in hands on video

The Google Pixel 9a has reappeared in a fresh sentence of LECKS and shows significant changes in terms of design and construction. This time a practical video shows the device and gives light on its general aesthetics and materials. In contrast to previous pixel models, the 9a pursues a more minimalist approach, but not necessarily in a first -class way. Instead, the use of plastic on the back makes the phone look more budget -friendly and deviates from previous renderers who pointed out a more sophisticated look.

Design and build: a step from Premium?

The leaked video shows the pixel 9a in the obsidian color variant, one of the four expected color options. Observers compared the plastic back structure with the older Nokia Lumia telephones. In order to improve durability, however, Google has recorded an aluminum frame that shows itself through visible antenna lines along the edges.

A remarkable departure from previous generations of pixels is the removal of the signature camera bar, which was a defined design feature of new models. Instead, the Pixel 9a accepts a more conventional, horizontal camera module separately with an LED flash. The Google “G” logo remains centered on the back and retains a certain design continuity with previous models.

Display: symmetry about slim lunettes

Although the display is not clearly visible on the last leak, earlier renders indicate the presence of relatively thick bezels. However, a positive change is that the bezels are now symmetrical and the device appear more visually balanced. The specific display technology is still unknown, but given the budget positioning of Pixel 9a, the most important improvements to its predecessor are unlikely.

Hardware and camera specifications

According to the latest information, the Pixel 9a is expected to have a Google Tensor G4 arm chip, a 6.3-inch and 120-HZ-OLED display with a lace brightness of 2,700 nits and a dual camera system with a 48 mp-F/1.7 main camera (1/2.0-inch sensor) and a 13 mp/22-camera (1/2.0-inch sensor) and a 13 MP F/22 camera. In addition, a 13-MP selfie camera is available for shots at the front. The 5,100 mAh battery is rumored to support both USB-C and wireless charges.

Practical videos and early impressions

A YouTube channel, @tecnologiaconalexis, recently released a practical video of the Pixel 9a that the device offers more precisely. The video confirms the well -known center area design, including a flat frame and a compact camera module. While the camera performance is difficult to evaluate due to the low video resolution and compression, it is clear that Pixel 9a lacks a telephoto lens, which leads to a noticeable deterioration in image quality with digital zoom.

Pricing and availability

The Pixel 9a is to be officially announced on March 19, 2025, with two memory options: 128 GB for € 499 and 256 GB for € 599. It is expected to compete directly with the Apple iPhone 16E and offer a similar center area with a focus on software and camera performance.

A shift in Google's strategy?

Google seems to change its approach for the “A” series and to move away from a design that is very similar to its Premium flagship models. The question remains whether this strategy is resonance among consumers or the Pixel 9a feels too budget -oriented for its price range.

With its official unveiling right around the corner, all eyes are on Google to see how this latest addition to the Pixel family is received.
