Fire brigade organizes St. Patrick's Day Bash to collect donations for new equipment

Osseo, Wisconsin (Weau) – The Osseo Rural Fire Department is organizing a St. Patrick's Day this weekend to collect money for some urgently needed equipment.

On Saturday, March 15th, people can celebrate the holiday by enjoying Irish cuisine and music while wearing their favorite clothes.

Dinner includes corn cow, Irish stew or chicken and cookies. Dueling pianos, typing back Ridge Music and Raffles are also presented.

This holiday celebration will help replace devices that protect the first aiders while keeping the community safely.

The deputy chief Mike Hallum said that the self -contained breathing apparatus (SCBAS) of the department is out of date and every firefighter needs you to enter an active fire.

“It protects the fireman, their lungs, their breathing from all the harmful chemicals that are made by burning houses and vehicles, whatever the case may be.”

The fire brigade has collected almost $ 100,000, but has to reach $ 280,000 in order to replace the almost 25-year-old SCBAS.

St. Patrick's Day Bash begins at 4 p.m. in the capacitor. Tickets cost 75 US dollars, and anyone who is interested in the celebrations of St. Patrick's Day with first aiders can buy tickets by contacting the Osseo Rural Fire Department.
