The 12-year-old donates footballs in honor of 'Saquon Barkley Day' '

Reading, Pennsylvania (WPVI) – Jayden Edwards collected dozens of footballs for a big thing. Everything was inspired by his favorite player: Eagles Super Bowl Champion Saquon Barkley.

The 12-year-old Edwards has been a Barkley fan since he saw him playing in college. Since then he has been a loyal supporter of his career.

In 2018, Pennsylvania's House of Representatives voted to commemorate on March 14th as “Saquon Barkley Day”.

Since 2020, Edwards has celebrated their vacation every year by making cakes and looking at football videos.

But this year he decided to celebrate with a non -profit twist.

He gathered his community to collect more than 170 footballs to donate to the Olivet Boys and Girls Club of Reading and Berks County.

While the donation trip from Edwards has now been completed, the Olivet Boys and Girls Club continues to accept a variety of donations.
