Akron man with lengthy crime history that woman shot in the face

Akron, Ohio (Woio) -An Akron -man with a long crime history spend the next 11-15 years in prison to shot a woman in the face.

The prosecutor of Summit County, Elliot Kolkovich, said that 48-year-old Timothy Addie was convicted of March 14 by the judge of the Summit County Court of Common Pleas, Tammy O'Brien.

Kolkovich said he was found guilty:

  • Criminal offense with a three -year firearm specification (crimes of third degree)
  • Have weapons under disability (crime third degree)

“Addie received the maximum possible punishment for the conviction for offenders,” said Kolkovich.

The incident occurred in September 2023.

Addie argued with the victim when he took out a gun and tried to shoot her.

The weapon was jammed, but Addie pulled the gun again and shot it into the face.

The victim was still alive when the Akron police arrived on site and took them to the hospital.

Although she lost her eye and needed at least four operations, she survived.

Several testimonies and surveillance material identified as a shooter.
