Dallas St. Patrick's Day Parade 2025: What you need to know

The largest celebration for St. Patrick's Day in the southwestern United States begins this Saturday at Greenville Avenue in Dallas.

What we know:

The 44th annual Parade & Festival of St. Patrick's Day attracts more than 125,000 participants with live music, more than 100 swimming customers, food trucks and many Irish celebrations every year. The 5 km race starts at 8 a.m. in the area before the parade festivals begin.

The Dallas Mavericks have been the presentation sponsor of the parade for nine years.

Locals love the parade because Dallas is treated like a walk -in city and creates a sense of community for friends and neighbors. The chairman of the Greenville Avenue Business Association calls the parade “the largest tailgate party that you can imagine”.

When is the St. Patty's Day Parade in Dallas?

The parade begins on Saturday, March 15th, at 11 a.m. It begins in the Blackwell Street and ends at the Smu Boulevard and at the Central Expressway.

The festival runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Officials advise visitors to come early and go late because the road closures influence the surroundings and parking is limited.

The road closures begin at 9 a.m. and will continue for the north and southern traces of Greenville Avenue from Blackwell Street to Smu Boulevard and the Central Expressway until 1 p.m.

The authorities propose to use alternative routes around the parade, including Loop 12, Mockingbird Lane and Park Lane with access to Skillman.

It is also recommended to use with the driving organizer or the dart rail because parking is very limited. The next dart stations are the Mockingbird station, the Lovers Lane Station and the Lane Station Park.
