Suspicious and victims identified in Darke County Shooting and Crash

Darkke County, Ohio (WKEF) – Dayton around the clock is now learning new details about a fatal shooting and a crash that took place on Thursday afternoon.

The Sheriff's office of the Darke County said that the suspect, who was now defeated as Josiah “Joe” Maloon, 57, “Brutal” and shot his wife Juanita Maloon (53) in her house in State Route 571.

Sheriff Mark Whittaker said on Thursday at 2:15 p.m., the second victim, Randy Ward II, 47, went to the transaction to the residence of the Malon. Ward told the authorities that he had had money from Joe's vehicle as far as dependent. Then Joe came out of his house and started shooting. DCSO said Ward ran to his vehicle and was shot several times, but was able to leave the scene; Joe followed and chased and rammed into the community with his vehicle. The two vehicles plunged in opposite fields near the Coletown Lightsville and Beamsville-Union City City.

Joe was declared dead at the crime scene and Ward remains hospitalized in the Miami Valley Hospital.

The investigators said they had brought a pistol back at the scene near Joe and a white powder substance in the house where the incident began.

However, the investigation continues, the authorities said that the municipality has no further threat.
