Washington – it is again this season. March Madness is almost there and 68 men's and women -college basketball teams will soon be the goal of becoming national champions.

The 68-team field for both tournaments will be announced on Sunday, March 16, at the selection, which means that it is almost time that the games begin.

March Madness for the men's tournament officially begins with the first four games on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 18 and 19 March in Dayton, Ohio.

With the first round on Thursday and Friday, March 20th and March 21st, the second round is on Saturday and Sunday, March 22nd and 23rd.

After the first weekend in the game, the action moves to Sweet 16 on March 27 and 28, followed by the elite eight on March 29 and March 30.

The men's tournament ends on Saturday, April 5, and the championship game will take place on Monday, April 7th in the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

As for the women's tournament, the first four begins on Wednesday and Thursday, 19 and 20 March. The first round is Friday and Saturday, March 21st and March 22nd. The second round is Sunday and Monday, March 23 and March 24th.

The Sweet 16 of the women is Friday and Saturday, March 28th and March 29th. Elite 8 is Sunday and Monday, March 30th and March 21st. The women's finals are Friday, April 4th in the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.

The national championship game of women will take place on Sunday, April 6th at 3 p.m. and around ABC.

This year there are 14 websites in which games for the men's tournament are organized.

For the women's tournament, the top 16 seeds organize in the first and second round as well as the first four. The sweet 16/elite eight takes place in Birmingham, Alabama. And Spokane, Washington.

The final four of women will take place in Tampa, Florida.

There are 68 teams in the NCAA basketball tournaments for men and women.

The Field Women's March Madness was expanded to 68 years in 2022 after a comprehensive review of the Equity gender was commissioned after the social media of disparities in the men and women tournaments in 2021, including strength dreams and other facilities.

CBS will broadcast the final Four and the national title game this year.

Every game of the women's tournament is broadcast on ABC in the third season in a row with the championship game on ABC.

In the men's tournament 2024, the Uconn Huskies won their sixth national title with a 75-60 win against Purdue. They were the first team since 2007 to capture consecutive national championships.
