Environmental tests lead to prohibited for some products

These inspections concerned companies, shops, industrial installations and roads with a clear goal: reviewing compliance with environmental standards.

At the same time, 427 complaints in relation to waste, noise, vibrations or pollution were submitted in 2024. Half of these reports came from the citizens, the other half of the authorities or the grandchildren. The AEV carried out 230 field inspections and 178 administrative tests.

Monitoring chemicals

Industrial emissions were the subject of 16 inspections. With regard to chemicals and biocides, 219 everyday objects were examined, including windshield fluids, floor mats, jewelry and electronic cigarettes. According to AEV, 28 products had to be withdrawn from sales due to non -compliance.

The inspections also included disinfectants that were used at school and the company catering, and led to 32 of the 212 analyzed products were found as unmoving, which led to 31. In addition, 21 products used to disinfect swimming pools were imposed.

With regard to the regulations for fleeting organic compounds (VOC), 25 products such as paints and colors were inspected. Two did not have compliant VOC content, while four problems with marking and packaging had.

Waste of programs

The cross -border waste was also checked, with 34 checks being carried out near borders in cooperation with customs and the police. The officials inspected 1,685 vehicles, 457 waste. 229 crimes were recorded and 222 tax warnings were issued for a total amount of € 41,500.

The AEV is not satisfied with only penalties: it also focuses on awareness of consciousness. The companies concerned receive support to ensure that they comply with the regulations.
