6 American prisoners in Kuwait who have been released ends up in the USA, says representative

(New York) – Six Americans who were imprisoned in Kuwait were released in an agreement with the United States, a representative of their families confirmed ABC News.

The Americans, many of whom are veterans and former military entrepreneurs, were convicted of drug accusations, said Jonathan Franks, a consultant for crisis management.

However, the prisoners kept their innocence for years, said Franks.

Franks added that some other prisoners will be freed in the coming weeks in the coming weeks.

“This morning, the Kuwaiti government published six of my customers as part of an agreement, which will ultimately release fifteen of my customers in a short time. Everyone was convicted of drug accusations, and everyone keeps their innocence vigorously, ”said Franks.

Sales about the possession of drugs in Kuwait can include long prison terms or the death penalty after advising the US State Department.

According to the Kuwait's US message, American citizens are subject to Kuwait's laws and regulations. These laws can “differ significantly from those in the United States”, and the US government may only offer limited support for the accused website, according to the website.

Kuwait is a small country of the Middle East to Iraq and Saudi Arabia.

The prisoners are released in the middle of the focus of President Donald Trump on the liberation of Americans abroad.

“President Trump has made it a priority to bring the Americans home. We are pleased that Kuwait published Americans from prison, ”said a spokesman for the Foreign Ministry in an ABC News.

“Kuwait is an important ally in the region, and we look forward to continuing to work with Kuwait and other partners in these efforts around the world,” added the spokesman.

In February, three prisoners, including an uneven American and a journalist who referred to a political prisoner, were released from Belarus.
