Dakota Twitty seems to appear as the start of Virginia

After the improved offensive player from 2024 UVA and with the departure of Tyler Neville it is the time of Dakota Twitty to shine in the narrow end room of Virginia.

For Twitty, when he arrived in Charlottesville for the first time, he was listed as a four-star recipient from Columbus, North Carolina. Now that he is on the way to his final year, he came together and is ready to run the room in Virginia in 2025.

“When I came from a wide recipient to the narrow end, it was difficult to get my weight. So I have sure that I keep my weight on and also to take up muscle mass on which I concentrated, and also explosiveness of the lower body, because it is one thing that is an explosive explosive from the outside, but on the first day when you have these big boys,” said Dakota on the first day of spring.

Last season Twitty recorded ten catches for 78 yards, including a touchdown reception of eight yards against Clemson. With the second -leading recipient of UVA, Tyler Neville, Twitty will take over a more important workload in autumn.

“The goal I have is is the starter. And the same with all the boys in the room and all the boys here in this building,” said Twitty. “We have invested countless hours and we trust each other and we just go out and work and push each other every day.”

Twitty is much more comfortable this autumn this autumn as a real tight end, not only as a fit, but also as a blocker.

“He sees the opportunity, especially when a few boys are not quite full this spring,” said Tony Elliott on the opening day of spring practice.

Twitty joins a new offensive of Virginia in Virginia, who welcomes the broad recipients every year EDRINE and JAYDEN Thomas as well as quarterbacks Chandler Morris and Daniel Kaelin, with which Twitty has already made connections.

“They bring a completely different energy with them and bring their energy where they were and the experience they also had with the boys we have here,” said Twitty.

At the beginning of the spring camp, the focus for Twitty and the crime focuses on building a chemistry between the additions and returnees.

“This spring will be great for us, only work on chemistry. Outside the building, outside of the training, helps us outside of training and definitely helps us,” said Twitty.

Like other players on the roster, Twitty has high expectations for autumn and saw a cultural shift this spring.

“This group of boys in this crime came together like all of them.

Twitty leads a narrow end room with graduate student Sage Ennis, Sophomore John Rogers and Senior Karson Gay.

“He would be the older statesman from a practical point of view of boys in this room,” said Elliott.

With a large part of the spring season, Twitty will continue to work to establish itself as the primary close ending for the Cavaliers in 2025.
