Match Preview: Bay FC at Utah Royals FC | March 15, 2025

The NWSL season has arrived after six weeks of preparations for the pre -season preparations, and the campaign opened in the first week this weekend. Bay FC opens its 2025 campaign on the street at the Utah Royals on Saturday, whereby the Kickoff from America First Field is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. PT.

If you turn off an opening season in which Bay only became the second team in NWSL history to qualify for the playoffs''In the first season, the club has high hopes for the second campaign. Bay FC started slowly in 2024, but the expansion page found its foundation in the back half of the season, with the results achieved in eight of the last 13 games.

Defender Alyssa Malonson, the first choice of Bay FC in the 2024 expansion draft, consolidated in the backline and earned for the first time in her career as a US women's national team. Defender Abby Dahlkemper returned to the Bay Area in a retail season and immediately gave the tone with a goal in their first game, while strikers Racheal Kundananji and Asisat Oshoala were always dangerous when they touched the ball.

The newly designated Bay FC fans have the calendar to 2025 and have reason for the excitement. Bay was strong in his tests in the pre -oisons and scored well in friendly games and Seattle Reign FC and San Diego Wave FC, while building the coachella Valley Invitational fitness. The club continued to fire well and integrated the new members of its squad and teamed up as a group in the weeks since then to build up points in the overall ranking at their first 90 minutes. Last meeting: Bay FC fell against Utah in both 2024 matchups, including a heartbreaking 1-0 defeat in PayPal Park in June, where Utah scored a deceased winner after 89 minutes of goalless game.
