Hartford expects tens of thousands to flood Hartford for St. Patrick's Day celebrations

Hartford, Ct. (Wfsb) – Since Connecticut will be green this weekend, it is expected that tens of thousands of humans will flood the capital due to celebrations.

It doesn't take long to recognize an Irish flag that flies in Hartford in the wind.

Many companies love the holiday in Pratt Street because it serves as the beginning of a busy season.

The parade itself starts at 11:00 a.m. and starts from the State Capitol building and ends in the arch in the Bushnell Park.

This is a day of tradition that many are looking forward to, including Mayor Arunan Arulumpalum, who says that the city takes all the necessary measures to ensure that the parade drops smoothly.

“DPW and the police authority meet in advance to ensure that we are the route for families and family -friendly. We patch streets on the way, ”he said.

Companies are also enthusiastic about the celebrations, as many new and old faces will offer a company all weekend.

“We are excited! We got beer all week and cooked Corned findings. Only the troops Reddy to get the bar outside, prepare the planters and ensure that the pub looks best for the big day, ”said Erin Sweeney, Manager of Vaughs Public House.
