Florida mother in the death penalty for the killing of Baby Boy is a pleading deal accepted

Pinellas County, Fla. -More than five years ago, a 30-year-old mother Florida was accused of killing her 5-month-old son after suffering a head trauma while she was angry with his father during a phone call.

In 2019, Baby Mason suffered a traumatic brain injury in his house in Palm Harbor and died in the hospital about four days later, according to the deputies of the sheriff of the Pinellas County.

The district of the district accused Burgandie Marquez of the first degree and announced that they would prepare for applying for the death penalty. Her process was set for September, but she recently accepted a plea deal.
