No charges for suburban teachers after criminal investigations: police

According to the police, a teacher at Manhattan Junior High School is not charged on vacation.

Manhattan, Ill. (WLS) – A teacher at Manhattan Junior High School will not have any criminal complaints after a criminal investigation.

At the beginning of this week, the school district of Manhattan 114 sent a letter to the parents and said, a school employee who dealt with activities that did not match the school authority's guidelines.

The school district did not describe the allegations.

On Friday, the police said that no criminal complaints were being persecuted.

School officials said they were made aware of the allegations at the beginning of this month. The Manhattan police confirmed that the teacher worked on the Junior High.

The teacher was put on a paid vacation, it is not known whether he will be stopped again.

“The security and well -being of our children are always of great importance in our district, and we will remain vigilant to proactively clear out all concerns that are made aware of us,” said the district before.
