Zach Eflin called Orioles' opening day starter against Blue Jays

Sarasota, Fla. – Zach Eflin will start on the opening day for the Baltimore Orioles.

The Orioles posted a video on social media in which Eflin receives the news from his wife and children. The team visits Toronto on March 27 for his start.

Eflin, who turns 31 on April 8, scored with an ERA of 3.59 ERA last season with Tampa Bay and Baltimore with an ERA of 3.59. The right -hander was 5: 2 with an ERA of 2.60 in nine starts after the Orioles acquired it at the conclusion of the trade.

This will be the second season in a row in which Eflin started a season start against Toronto. He gave up six runs over 5 2/3 innings last season when the rays lost 8: 2 at home against the Blue Jays.
