play

March Madness continues to rotate with conference tournaments who decide who receives automatic berths in the NCAA tournament 2025. Can Florida Atlantic make his ticket to win the American Athletic Conference tournament?

It is expected that the AAC only gets one team in the NCAA tournament. Memphis is the favorite after winning 13 of his last 14 games of the season. Guard PJ Haggerty was appointed Conference Player of the Year, with Penny Hardaway Coach of the Year honors.

The tigers will have a lot of competition to earn their third NCAA place in Hardaway's term. Uab should be out with the AAC defensive player of the year Yaxel Lendeborg, while North Texas have a few First Teamer of the All-Conference in Wache Atin Wright and striker Brenen Lorient.

AAC tournament forecasts

Most college basketball experts choose Memphis with top seeds to win the American. Joe Lunardi von Espn wrote: “The tigers were largely routinely in the league game, but they didn't need more than that against a reduced American slate.” Jason Munz from The Memphis Commercial Appeal has the Tiger beating Uab for the third time this season.

VSIN has Nordexas as its competition. Zachary Cohen wrote that a neutral area and a 45-minute drive from your campus gives the average value the advantage. “The reality is that North Texas is defensively the same with Memphis and the team should be able to aggressively come to the occasion in a cheaper environment,” said Cohen. “The motivation will also be on the Green side because you have to win this tournament to secure a place in the NCAA tournament.”
