The West Unity Village Council meeting took place on Thursday, March 13th, at 7:30 p.m. Everyone was present except for council member Dave Short. The meeting was opened with a prayer and promise of loyalty.

First of all, the approval of the employment of Buckeye pumps for diagnosing problems within the community was on the agenda. This would be the first step to decide what needs to be determined in the community.

After approval of the protocol of the last month on February 13th, Mayor Don Leu hired the spokeswoman Mike Pilaski from superior communication.

Pilaski informed the Council that it had made an agreement on all drawings and that his project for the completion of the summer was up to date.

This is a demolition process for the building next to the local AT&T Tower. The remaining properties are offered for sale.

Leu presented the legislative regulations. Regulation 2025-1, which included CAP fees, passed his second reading. No additional changes were made.

Ordinance 2025-2, which left the requirements for the funeral fees, also had his second reading. Higdon noticed that the latest laws were passed that the city would reimburse the funeral fees on request.

Ordinance 2025-4 would permanently increase water and sewage funds for West Unity. Before approval of the regulation, an application was made to suspend the current rules.

Resolution 3-2025-3 would concentrate on the determination of the passage on Route 127. This would be a state -financed project and after the end of the community.

You expect the road to be closed during the construction, but there is not yet much information available to the public. No start time was published.

The monthly police report between West Unity showed no significant increase in crime. The administrative report mentioned how the construction of South Main Street was almost completed. They estimated another day to finish on Friday, the 14th and then to concentrate on cleaning.

The administration was interested in repairing the parking spaces on the same street because they have a lot of wear.

There is also a plan that is on the move to repeat the sidewalks on Jackson Street, especially outside of Wysis boys, with remaining funds.

Sarah Higdon gave the employee's report. The American Legion donates flags and banners for all over. This includes the village office and both local parks. You will be responsible for all damage and future replacement.

The spirits license was approved for the Millcreek Deli and a secondary location. The Council does not require hearing.

Two major garbage cuts will take place for West Unity. The Northside will be on May 8th and 9th. The Southside will be May 15th and 16th.

Mayor Leu gave a proclamation in which he declared the month of February as a career and tech training month in honor of the students in four counties.

It is intended to encourage youth to attend authentic, sensible experiences that improve the quality of their training.
