Professor who was killed on the campus to shoot part of the Federal DEI examination

Las Vegas, nev. (FOX5) – The University of Nevada, Las Vegas, said one of the professors who were killed by a shooter at a campus shooting more than a year ago, was named in a new study of diversity, equity and inclusion in university.

A spokesman for UNLV said that Patricia Navarro Velez was one of three professors who were examined by the Ministry of Education as part of President Donald Trump's efforts to remove the programs from educational institutions and within government agencies.

Navarro Velez was one of three professors who were killed on December 6, 2023 on the UNLV campus.

The other two professors who are part of the investigation are no longer at UNLV, said the spokesman.

The spokesman said that the professors were involved in the doctoral project, an organization that, according to his website, is supposed to set “a broader talent pipeline” in doctoral programs.

“For over 30 years, the doctoral project has contributed to changing the future workforce by making the students a performance model and companies to enrich the talent pipeline,” says the website. “With our partners, we support the development of company documents to increase the number of brilliant educators from all communities.”

In an online story that Navarro Velez reminded, UNLV said that she was inspired by making her doctorate to look after others.

“She was a pioneer who worked through three universities in one of the largest public auditing companies in the world in a challenging job and later decided to return to the classroom as a professor to share her passion for accounting and information systems while encouraging and encouraging students who started their own trips and professional adventures,” said Jason Smith, UNG Accounting Chair, Telled The School.

Others said that Navarro Velez had campaigned for diversity in the field of accounting as part of her role at UNLV.

ELT said that it could not comment on due to ongoing studies.
