The baseball season 2025 begins next week. Here are five players that you can see in the “Record newspapers” area.

Nolan Hooper, Yorkville Christian, Senior, Pitcher/Outfielder

There are not many experienced back jugs in the region, but this Lewis University Commit is one. Hooper was a 2.2 ERA last year with 74 strikeouts.

Missouri Recruit is a smooth glove in Shortstop for the Panthers and also beats Leadoff in the second year. The Rangy 6-Foot 4-Junior belongs to a large group of underclasses that return in the Oswego line-up.

Jason Phillips, Plano, Junior, third basis/pitcher

Phillips was a power supply bat with a intimidating frame in the box of the dough and was an all-state and all-conference choice last year. Hit .485 with 50 goals, 49 RBIs, five Homers and 35 runs. If a run producer will be at the head of Plano's list again and will also be counted as one of the top jugs of the Reapers.

Jacsen Tucker, Oswego Ost

Jacsen Tucker, Oswego East, Sophomore, Shortstop

Multi-sports star, also an outstanding basketball team Oswego East Sophomore, which had only one loss last winter, has a brilliant future on the diamond. Played Varsity Shortstop and beat as a newcomer in the middle of the order, beat .304 with an operating room, 16 RBIs and 16 Runs scored.

Jaelen Veliz, Yorkville, Junior, third basis

As a young bat with a smooth swing, Veliz was an all-conference selection last year for the foxes. He met .322 with a percentage of 0.417, five additional hits, 20 RBIs and 19 Runs achieved. Veliz is counted to offer one of the large bats from Yorkville with the end of the outstanding camera Yearsley and Nate Harris from last year's team.
