No. 4 Florida Gators Basketball entered on Friday evening after only defeating two teams who played in the 2024-25 season. Head coach Todd Golden's squad left his first game of the SEC tournament in 2025, whereby only one defeat has to take revenge.

Florida pulled back a final victory of 95-81 against No. 21 Missouri Tigers late in the second half to pay a difficult defeat from 83-82 on January 14th in Gainesville, Florida. The Gator uses double warming as No. 2 team in the event and have now come to the semi -finals of the SEC tournament to win the program's first crown since 2014.

Let's take a look at what went with some Fastbreak snack stalls on Friday evening.

It was over when … The redshirt senior-wachmann Alijah Martin has a 3 pointer from a missed free throw with senior G Richard wants to do the baseline for a jam to complete an 8-0 run and bring the gators by 18 points with 2 minutes before playing. The game ended with a distance of 21-10.

Mizzou scored seven of the first nine points to open the second half when Florida's immense battles with ball safety continued four sales in the first 6:24. Suddenly the 14-point lead of the Gators had dropped to four at 13 minutes, and shortly afterwards the tiger entered the bonus. Steading fought to 5 points with sales and fouling in 8 minutes, but it would never go further.

The Gators were able to take advantage of their opponent's personnel loss on the front square by relying on the big men in the last phases of the game. Sophomore striker Alex Condon and Thomas Hagh scored 11 points in a row for UF when his guards had difficulty creating an offensive. Richard and the Senior Point Guard Walter Clayton Jr. were goalless for the first 12:40 of the second half after they combined 30 points in the opening time.

Focus on the first half: Florida opened with a lead of 15: 2 on the back of three three times, including two by Richard. The Gator actually started 5 out of 5 from the city center, while the lead of 14 points in the middle of the period built, but the evaporated quickly due to the most sloppy and lazy basketball that they played all season. The advantage was immersed by eight sales in just more than 12 minutes to two baskets. UF still competed with a 9-2 route until the end of the period before scored seven of the last 10 points to achieve a lead of 13 points during the break. This although Florida gave the ball twice to a total of 10 sales at halftime. Clayton Jr. (17 points, 4 assists) and Richard (13 points) voted on average in the first 20 minutes with their game.

Exceptional efforts: Four gators scored more than 16 points in the game. Clayton led the way with 18 points and 6 templates, but struggled to fight with the ball control, which coughed 5 sales for the fourth time this season. Richard ended with 17 points, but scored 6 out of 13 from the ground and 3 of 8 from the city center, while Martin scored the score with far more efficient effort (7 of 9). Hagh was enormous in the second half and ended the game with 16 points, while they went 10 out of 12 from the charity, and Condon did it at both ends with 9 points and 8 boards.

Opportunities & ends: Florida improved against Missouri to 12-5 against Missouri, 4-1 under Golden … The Gators are now 50-53 in the second tournament, 4-2 under Golden … Florida under Golden, improved to 53-9 when it led at half-time this season with 23: 0 23: 0. Or better from the field (20-2), 61-7 when flying over an opponent (25-1), 55-8 when you have crossed an opponent from a 3-point range (25: 0)

What it means: The Gators did the job at the end of the day, but it was far closer than he would have too late if UFS was immense talent advantage. Florida committed 16 sales and 18 fouls in the first 32:15 before completing it in the last 7:20 without sales and only 3 fouls. This had to do with the end of 21 to 10 to publish the competition and send the Gator to the semi -finals. Nevertheless, the tiger remained in the game based on these mistakes (22 points from sales) and dominated the offensive glass (18-9), while trying 13 more shots in the game. This competition may have lost this competition against a better opponent.

It is even more important that the Quadrant 1 win over a top 25 opponent at the NCAA tournament 2025 for Florida blocked a No. 1 seed. While Golden said that the Gators for the SEC tournament crown will go in general, all other victories will really only be beaten this season before March Madness and a cherry on the sundae that created the program for the off-season.

What's next? Florida will play on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET either No. 5 or No. 15 Kentucky in the SEC tournament. The wildcats are now the only team this season that the Gator played but are not defeated.
