DC Police publishes video of the man who was searched for in connection with the shooting of the deadly Union Station

The DC Police asks the public to help identify a man at a fatal shootout at the Union Station last month.

What we know:

On February 10, MPD officials and several law enforcement companies reacted to the Union Station's parking garage around 4:40 p.m. to receive a report on a shootout.

Pamela Smith, police chief of DC, said that the Amtrak police officers were the first to answer shots after hearing.

During the investigation, the officials found a man near the escalators who led to the parking garage on the upper level of the train station. He was passed out and did not breathe. DC Fire and Ems arrived at the scene to provide help, but the victim was declared dead.

He was identified as an 18-year-old Wayne McDaniel from Northwest, DC,

What we don't know:

Chef Smith said that detective believe that the shooter and the victim know himself. The surveillance video showed that they interacted briefly before the suspect took out a gun and shot McDaniel when he ran away.

The suspect seemed to wear gray pants and bright shoes at the time of shooting. Chef Smith also found that at the time of the shootout there were probably four people in the waiting area in glass.

No weapons were recovered and the police continued to examine. Anyone who has information about the incident is asked to contact the Metropolitan Police Department.
