In the black rose in the city center of Boston, the music is loud, the Guinness flows and the spirits are high. A Monday St. Patrick's Day means four days with festive fun – starting with a “criminal” on Friday evening.

“This is the right place! St. Patrick's Day Weekend, we love it here. We are coming every year!” said Sue Doyle.

Of course, the weekend highlight – is in the heart of South Boston. And before the Big Parade Sunday, you don't have to look for a green beer or a corned beef that is served creatively.

“This is a kind of calm before the storm. It will start tonight and take us directly until Tuesday morning. It will be a line around the corner from the moment when we close. It will be a crazy day,” said Chris McGee, who manages operations on Broadway and on the playwright.

South Boston Parade begins earlier

Insanely funny or incredibly unforgettable – safe, but the organizers of the city and parade hope to keep things under control. The Parade will get out at 11:30 a.m. Sunday morning – one and a half hours earlier than years after years.

The police will watch for public drinking and minor drivers who bring alcohol to the MBTA. And Sunday evening Southie will stop bars early.

Jack Doherty With the College Hype, the neighbors of Southie have been delivering with her green parade equipment for 25 years and gives him a seat in the front row for the rich traditions and luddish celebrations.

“We'll see how it works. Last year was a bit crazy, so we had to move. We'll see what happens,” said Doherty. “Hopefully Sunday is a nice happy and healthy day for everyone.”
