Devastating fire leaves the families of the Duke Road who are looking for answers and help

Bexar County, Texas – The shock leaves off and the reality stands up for Luis Narvaez.

“I have no more tears,” said Narvaez. “I saw how my house just rose in flames.”

Narvaez 'house was one of 40 structures that burned to the ground in the fire of the Duke Road last week. The fire and his hotspots lasted for days along the Atazosa and Bexar County lines, south of Loop 1604.

Families along this street try to find out what comes next.

Neighbors said that the Federal Administrative Authority in Atascosa County, Bexar County and the state have all investigations.

In the meantime, the ATASCOSA-Bexar County Line volunteer fire brigade stated that they are trying to improve the community.

“It's all we got,” said Dawson Williamson, the Volunteer Fire Department head of the Atascosa-Bexar County. “We want to make sure everyone is being cared for.”

The fire brigade collects food, water, hygiene products and clothing for families who may have lost everything from the fire.

Donations can be discontinued in the 25580 Pleasanton Road.
