UO under investigation for alleged “exclusion practices” examines Colleges

The University of Oregon is one of the 45 universities, which are examined by the Ministry of Education due to allegedly violating students.

Eugene, Ore.-Die University of Oregon belongs to 45 universities that are examined nationwide, which are allegedly violating the civil rights of the students by “exclusive racial practices”.

On Friday, the US Ministry of Education for Civil Rights announced that there is an investigation into the partnership of the universities with the Ph.D. Project, a more than 30-year-old non-profit organization that tries to increase diversity in business education.

The department argues that in this way the university violates title VI of the Civil Rights Act and “supposedly not permitted racial -based scholarships and a university for allegedly administered a program that students separated on the basis of the breed”.

The University of Oregon is the only college or university in Oregon that is aimed at the examination.

In a statement on Friday, the University of Oregon said:

“We take this complaint seriously. We recently checked all of our practices and are of the opinion that the University of Oregon corresponds to the law. We have further checked the guidelines and practices in view of the executive commands of the administration and look forward to working with the Office for Civil Rights in order to solve this complaint.”
