NBA examines 76er about Tyrese Maxey, Paul George was missing games

According to Shams Charania of ESPN, the NBA examines the Philadelphia 76ers in relation to several recent games missed by the team's stars.

“I was told that the Philadelphia 76ers are another team that examined the NBA and examined itself,” said Charania during a appearance on Friday on the Pat McAfee Show (6:13 Mark). “Only based on the Tyrese Maxey Miss Time, we know that Paul George missed time.”

George and Maxey both missed the last four games in Philadelphia due to gravity and back injuries.

George also dealt with knee problems all year round.

However, the investigation cannot lead to a punishment for the 76.

“I think with Philadelphia it may look a little more legitimate,” added Charania (6:30 a.m.). “Because they think of Tyrese Maxey, he was beaten all year round. And Paul George, the five games before the All Star break in February, I said that Paul George played with painful injections.”

The reported concerns of the NBA seem to be due to Philadelphia to keep Maxey and George out of the games. With a record of 22-43, the 76s sit in 12th place in the Eastern Conference classification.

Philadelphia's first round in the NBA design of 2025 is protected by top SIX, which means that he goes to the Oklahoma City Thunder when the 76s fall below number 6 in the Draft lottery.

As things are currently, the 76ers have the sixth knowledge of the world in the association.

The first season of George in Philadelphia did not go as planned, with the nine-time all-star average achieving only 16.2 points per game and appearing in only 41 competitions.

On Thursday, Charania reported that George should turn with doctors “this week” about treatment options for his groin and knee injuries, whereby the operation listed as a possibility.

Maxey is relatively healthier compared to George, but he still missed 13 games this season.

In April 2024, the NBA condemned the 76s with 100,000 US dollars for violating the regulations for the league injuries. As part of the announcement, the association said that the fine “the history of the 76 of the fines due to violation of the rules for injuries”.

While Philadelphia completes its 2024-25 campaign, the NBA reports reportedly a further study at the organization.
