NTSB publicization report for aircraft crash in Elbert County at the beginning of this month

Matheson – The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has published a preliminary report on a small plane crash in Colorado in Elbert County.

The crash occurred on March 1st near Matheson, which is located on Highway 24 east of Colorado Springs.

The pilot was declared dead at the crime scene. At the time of the crash, there were no other passengers on board the aircraft.

The flight data show that the aircraft had a normal flight route before leaving about 800 feet and collapsing shortly afterwards. The report says that no emergency calls were made during the flight.

After viewing the debris, the agency found that it was a flat, high speed effect that spans a rubble field over 560 feet. The wreck was collected and brought to a facility for further examination.
