Special education teachers for criminal misuse and harassment of students

Louisville, Ky. (Wave/Gray News) – A special school teacher of the high school in Kentucky was arrested in the classroom after allegations of abuse.

Jamison Woods is charged with criminal abuse, two charges of harassment with physical contact and official misconduct.

After a criminal complaint, the first incident occurred on January 28 at the Oldham County High School. Woods was with a small group of students with special needs when she allegedly started to demonstrate an intervention of crisis prevention that holds a 15-year-old with autism for “non-justified reasons”.

Court documents state that the student was not disturbed by the hold, but was asked to do so after a hug. Woods then supposedly denied him and said, “You have bad germs.” Woods then went to a cabinet while the student asked for another hug.

It was reported that Woods is a foot of the student's student and she moved the can according to court documents while spraying. The student's glasses blocked the spray to come into the eyes.

The next reported incident occurred on January 30th. The police said Woods threw a yoga ball with a 15-year-old mentally disabled student and a 14-year-old student with several disabilities. Both students were said to have hit their heads several times. An assistant in the classroom saw the alleged incident.

“We were made aware of allegations in which a teacher was involved in OCHS at the end of January. The teacher was immediately removed from school and put on vacation during one of OCPD under the leadership of OCPD. The teacher has not been back on campus since the allegations. We continue to work with the ongoing investigations and are committed to the security and well -being of our students, while we respect the privacy of those involved, ”said Oldham County School in a statement that dealt with the allegations.
