Verandadach collapses during the party in Oakland and leaves 16 injuries

At least 16 people were injured when a roof collapsed on Friday during a house party in Oakland near the Campus of the University of Pittsburgh. A video that becomes viral online recorded the moment when the veranda roof was torn from the side of a house. Dozens of people were on the roof up when it collapsed even more people. According to the New York Post, 16 people were brought to area hospitals who suffered from a number of injuries, with three in a serious state. The most serious were concealed brain, arm and leg injuries.

The video divided into X showed several people on the roof of the veranda and on the veranda itself when it collapsed. A witness of the collapse said reported that he counted up to 22 people on the roof when the incident took place.

A person who managed to complain about the hard end of the celebrations. “It just fell. Everyone had fun and then nobody had fun,” said Carlton Gbur according to the socket.

Some students said on site that they would have to help pull out some students by lifting the collapsed roof. “I was only afraid of everyone who was down there. I was just sitting aside and saw that it falls,” said Dave Rentzel, who was at the party.

Officials said that there were between 300 and 500 students in the courtyard during the collapse. The scene has now been cleared and the rest of the building was okay after the collapse. However, the rear porch area was convicted, reported the outlet.

The police from the University of Pittsburgh confirmed in a social media update that the injured were transported to care. It is said that the city continues to work with the investigation into what happened. “As a memory, it is never certain to be on the roof,” added the explanation.
