“What is so cool about the production”

The members of the girls video team of the Butler Intermediate High School have not noticed how many products that Oberg Industries practiced with each other, since it is a contract manufacturer who does not bring its name to performance.

The team of five eight -graders emphasizes the company in a video that is so cool for the competition “What is so cool”, which shows some of the articles made by Oberg and the people.

“This is one of the things we have held away from going to all three institutions, because even though they were the same company, they have all done different things,” said Adelynn Bushre. “There was stamps that flow into cans that we drink every day, razors and things, and then there was a medical building where they produce implants for all sorts of things.”

The vote is now open to the competition, and the videos of the two teams of Butler Intermediate High School – a team of young teams of five and a team of girls – are in the race for the voters' Choice Award. You can find the coordination and videos online at WhatsSocool.org.

While the girls visited the Oberg Industries, the JSP team JSP was visited internationally, and each team put together a video about what every company does and how his production affects life in Butler County. Breit Cochran, the teacher who coordinated the projects, said the groups first tours through the companies of the companies and then went back to record videos and receive interviews with workers so that they could put together the presentations.

“You did an astonishing amount of work,” said Cochran.

The topic of the girls' team was: “How does production affect our daily life?” Adelynn said that the team could see through visits to Oberg's facilities and show how production touched everyday life.

“We wanted to get someone from every job area because there could be people who work on the floor in offices as managers,” said Natalie Baldauf. “Then there were people who worked to recruit people, there were a lot of different jobs.”

The boys team visited JSP in autumn and received three or four hours of video that they had to reduce to less than three minutes to tell the production of the company.

According to Lucas Szul, JSP creates plastic products that are used in many products that the students have not even considered.

“We didn't know that this production, when we play football or football, processed into it,” said Lucas.

Noah Schooley said he and the team are proud of the video that they put together with the film material that they collected. The teams used video editing software to put together the videos from which each team came from the projects.

“We used two students, so I did it and then Lucas did it,” said Noah. “I think it was a pretty good video overall.”

The students who took part in the program are the eighth graders Natalie Baldauf, Garrett Beveridge, Marshall Bish, Adelynn Bush, Charlotte Deverspike, Beatrix Medved, Noah Schooley, Landon Slear, Lucas Szul and Charlotte Weyandt.

The videos of both Butler Intermediate High School teams are available on WhatsSocool.org under the Pittsburgh Central tab under the Pittsburgh Central category. The vote is open from Monday, March 17th to Friday, March 21st.
