The game of Florida Panthers numbers: who did it best

The Florida Panthers have four new players on their squad after dealing with the NHL trade deadline and the closing time.

Seth Jones Was the first newcomer to acquire on March 1 by the Chicago Blackhawks for Spencer Knight And a first round draft pick.

Vitek Vanecek, Nico SturmAnd Brad Marchand were added last week.

On March 3, Fhn collapsed which players in the history of the Panthers wore number 3 before Jones got it – who wore it first and who was the best.

Today we look at the numbers that are now shown by Sturm (No. 8), Vanecek (No. 41) and Marchand (No. 63).

So who was wearing it first – and best?

Florida Panthers No. 8

  • Who is wearing it now: Nico Sturm
  • Who wore it first: Dallas Ekins
  • Who was the best: Peter Worrell
  • Who wore No. 8: Dallas Eakins, Magnus Svensson, Craig Martin, Jaroslav Spacek, Peter Worrell, Valeri Bure, Joel Kwiatkowski, Tim Kennedy, Wojtek Wolski, Dylan Mcilrath, Jayce Hawryler, Matt Kiersted, Kyle Okposo, St.

Break it up: On November 23, Eakins played a game for Panther's expansion against Hartford Whalers – and finally played 41 games in two parts with the organization.

Bure was a famous takeover of the Panthers at the Sunrise draft from 2001, but his reunion with brother Pavel was short-lived. Val Bure only played 31 games with the Panthers.

Worrell, on the other hand, was a seventh round of Florida and spent six seasons with the Panthers and collected over 1,500 minutes of penalty. He was as popular on the ice as he was of it. Worrell, whose NHL career ended with the avalanche in 2004, became a large part of the Junior hockey scene in Südflorida and trained North Broward Prep to State title. He now works for the Panthers and is head coach of the Jr. Panthers U18 team.

Okposo wore the number 8 last season after he had come to the Panthers at the NHL. He is the only one who wears the Stanley Cup with this number in the Franchise story. Of course, Worrell was on the ice after game 7 – he simply did not wear any jersey.

Florida Panthers No. 41

  • Who is wearing it now: Vitek Vanecek
  • Who wore it first: Stephane Richer
  • Who was the best: Anthony stun
  • Who wore No. 41: Stephane Richer, Serge -Zahler, Andrej Podkonicky, Ryan Jardine, Nick Smith, Mike Green, Shawn Matthias, Greg McKegg, Anthony Stolanz, Vanecek

Richer played three games in Florida's first two seasons.

Matthias, who came to the Panthers from Detroit in the Todd Bertuzzi deal from Detroit, was one of the more promising players in the team in the mid-2000s and played parts of seven seasons with the team before going to Vancouver in second retail with Roberto Luongo. He started at 41, but wore number 18 with the Panthers for a large part of his time.

So, the stolance gets the nod here, although he only plays in Florida for one season. But what a season it was. Stoltz, who signed Free Agent in 2023, supported Sergei Bobrovsky last season and led the NHL to the gate average (2.03) and saves percent (0.925).

After winning the trophy with the Panthers, he signed a two -year contract with the Maple Leafs.

  • Who wore it first: Evgenii Dadonov
  • Who was the best: Dadonov

This is not ready for debate: it is Dadonov.

Dadonov, a choice in the third round of the Panthers in 2007, was considered the top prospect of the team and played parts of three seasons (2009-12) with the Panthers before he was traded according to Carolina.

After five seasons in the KHL, Dadonov returned to the Panthers as Free Agent and scored 81 goals (2017-20) in three seasons.

Now 36, Dadonov is in his third season with Dallas with 16 goals and 35 points in 64 games.

Bolland helped Chicago to win the Stanley Cup twice and signed a five-year contract of $ 27 million after a season with Toronto in 2014. Bolland caught up with past injuries and he only played with the Panthers in 78 games.

They exchanged his contract in 2016 to Arizona and cost them in 2015 Lawson Crouse 2015 to achieve this.
