With a lot of sunshine and increasing winds, the temperatures rise to the upper 80s inside. The coastal areas become a bit cooler and remain due to the airy conditions and the developing sea breeze in the low to middle 80s.

Sunday to Monday: strong storms on the road

On Sunday, a strong late winter front approaches Florida Panhandle with sunrise. A series of showers and storms will be followed by the area by the afternoon, with some of these storms become too heavy when turning through.

For this reason, the Storm Prediction Center Central Florida has highlighted the potential for an isolated heavy storm under a marginal risk (level 1 of 5). The district of the district was Northern Marion remains at a slight risk (level 2) as a higher threat to a pop -up superzell.

Storm threat – Sunday

Before the storms arrive, however, we are another warm and windy day. The winds will be the strongest along and north of the I-4 corridor, where gusts of 30 to 35 miles are expected per hour. Thanks to most clear sky, the temperatures rise to the upper 80s and almost 90 degrees.

Near record heat this weekend

Due to the earlier start of rain and clouds with heights in the mid -1980s, areas could remain a little cooler.

In the afternoon, you can expect a number of showers and storms in the northern counties between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m., whereby the line changes between 4 and 6 p.m. along the I-4 and deletes central florida until midnight. These storms could bring heavy rain, lightning and gusty winds.

The main risks for East Central Florida will be strong gusts of wind and possibly a small hail, although the likelihood of tornados is low. The timing and the intensity of these storms are still refined, but things are becoming more active in the late Sunday afternoon and evening.

Monday: Cooler from St. Patrick's Day

As soon as the cold front runs through on Sunday evening, we will feel a noticeable change on Monday. Dry air will filter from the north and the airy northwest winds remain nearby. The temperatures become cooler and only reach the low 70s in the afternoon. After sunset, temperatures quickly fall into the mid -40s to low 50s by Tuesday morning.

St. Patrick's day

The temperatures will fluctuate a little throughout the week, but overall the conditions at the beginning of the week expect a little below the normal and warm up towards the end.

The warmest days will be Wednesday and Thursday. The highest stands climb into the upper 70s and low 80s before another cold front moves until Thursday evening. While this front looks mainly dry for the time being, we will keep an eye on potential showers on Thursday afternoon and evening.
