Woman who was accused of starting the apartment fire after trying Sease

Washington County, Md. – A Hagerstown woman was charged after she supposedly set her apartment on fire.

The 45 -year -old April Hough was arrested at the crime scene after it was found that she was deliberately started a fire in her apartment and then temporarily barricaded herself in a rental office.

Around 4:00 p.m., numerous agencies reacted to the Ridge Apartments for reports on an apartment fire on Thursday.

When they arrived, smoke from the three -story residential building could be seen.

Said officials after talking to witnesses, they were informed that they had barricaded herself in the rental office after telling the employees that they had started the fire.

They contacted Hough in the rental officer, where she told them that they broke through a sea before the fire broke out.

The investigators learned that she had removed several fire extinguishers in the entire building before the fire broke out.

Hough was charged with an arson of the first degree, malicious burning, malicious destruction of property over $ 1,500 and ruthless danger.

It is currently being recorded without a bond.
