2 men in the hospital after separate shootings in Philly: Police – NBC10 Philadelphia

According to the Philadelphia police authority, two men were shot in Philadelphia late Friday evening.

The police said the first incident occurred on Friday, March 14, 2025, around 9:43 p.m. in the 2300 block of the Montgomery Ave. The responding officers had found a 19-year-old man with several gunshot wounds.

The officers transported him to the hospital, where he was listed in a critical condition, the police said.

Although no arrests were made, the police said that a weapon was recovered. A total of 25 shell cases of 9 mm cover were found at the scene.

Then, around 11:47 p.m., the officers answered the 500 block of the N. 58th St. after they had received reports on a shootout, the police said.

According to the police, a 33-year-old man was found on the chest with a gunshot wound; He was taken to the hospital, where he is currently listed in stable condition.

The police said one person was taken into custody, but they have been released since then. A weapon was recovered at the crime scene and a 9 -mm shell case.

The shooting examination group examines both incidents, the police said.
