Two men arrested after allegedly causing “serious facial injuries” and criminal damage

The police in West Belfast arrested two men after reporting criminal damage and assault.

The incident occurred on Friday, March 14th, in the Glen Road area.

The PSNI said that yesterday she received a number of reports shortly before 5 p.m. that two men had damaged a vehicle after leaving licensed premises.

Adams, the local police inspector, said: “It was also reported that they ordered food in the licensed premises and then refused to pay a fire alarm and caused damage before they were disordered. They also tried to steal a garment.

“The owner of the damaged vehicle followed the two men to the Lenadoon area, where an argument occurred. The vehicle owner suffered serious facial injuries and remained too recently and wane during an attack.

“Two men who correspond to the description provided by the vehicle owner were found by officers nearby.

“The men who were 25 and 21 years old were arrested for suspicion of assault, which caused actual body damage, two cases of criminal damage, possession of an offensive weapon in a public location, disordered behavior in licensed rooms, tried theft and possession of controlled drugs in class C. They remain in custody at this point.

Inspector Adams continued: “We endeavor to make our local community a safer place to live and work. Our investigation continues and I would encourage everyone to contact the police under 101 and quote the reference number 1211 of 14/03/25. “
