If democratic legislators are not listening to President Trump on a waste of waste, maybe listening to President Barack Obama.

In a recent video from 2011, the then President Obama asked the Federal Government to reduce wasteful government spending and programs, even those who “interest many people”.

“Everyone knows that it will require difficult decisions to get rid of the deficit, and this also includes reducing the programs of billions of dollars of programs that interest many people,” said the former president in almost 14-year-old Clip.

As a memory of democratic personalities that require an end to the Trump administration agenda for the reduction of wasteful government spending, conservative users said the old video of Obama lobbying for similar things.

Although Obama mentioned the importance of these painful cuts, he emphasized that the US government at least eliminated its “senseless waste and stupid expenses that do not benefit anyone”.

He added that it should “get rid of waste, even if we didn't have a deficit”.

“No waste is acceptable, especially if it is your money,” said Obama, referring to American taxpayers. “Just like families live in their resources, the government should also.”

Obama even provided some examples of these “stupid editions” and asked the audience: “Did you know that the Federal Government pays a website for a folk music ensemble that is composed of Forest Rangers?

“I will put your music on my iPod, but I'm not paying for your websites.”

The 44th President later mentioned what other wasteful things for which taxpayers had paid, “thousands of buildings across the country that nobody used”.

Obama even announced that he had held the then Vice President Joe Biden responsible for these efforts to “chase bad writings in every agency and in every department of this government”.

Biden appeared in the clip and found how the job “relentless focus” takes.

“We consider our accountability and we are very committed and focus on working better,” he said.

The conservatives shared the video as proof that even democratic personalities saw the need for dramatic spending.

Musk announced the clip and wrote: “Obama sounds exactly like @doge !!”

The podcast moderator Joe Rogan said: “It took 14 years and @elonmusk & @Raldonaldtrump so that the conversation can be effective.”

Glenn Ordway, moderator of Sports Radio, commented: “Sounds as if Trump was doing exactly what Obama did in 2011 … do not remember that that complained at the time.”

Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, also said the video: “There is a video/tweet for everything (2011).”

The representatives of the Obamas did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request.
