The captain of Toronto, Jonathan Osorio, got the ball from Deandre Kerr on a give-and-go and then swung the ball to the right to Federico Bernardeschi. Seconds later, Cuypers, combined with Leonardo Barroso on a give-and-go that the Belgian striker shot onto the finish. Johnson saved again, but the rebound hit the hip of a crashing cuypress to get into the goal in the 44th minute.

Toronto came out of half and looked for a compensation what Chicago wanted to take advantage of. The fire almost did this in the 71st minute when it won a corner after a counter. Gutiérrez 'the following kick was led by Cuypren on the long post. But after a review of a foul about Johnson, the goal was not allowed in the box, which held the score as it was.

The pages followed a similar script throughout the game, with Chicago entering a certain possession of the ball to hit the counter again.
