Poulakidas '13 leadership Yale via Princeton 59-57 in the Ivy League tournament

Providence, RI (AP) -John Poulakidas scored 13 points on Saturday in the Ivy League tournament in the semi-finals of the Ivy League tournament in the 59:57 win of Yale against Princeton with the fourth seed.

Yale, the defending champion and seven-time NCAA tournament participants, will play in the championship game Dartmouth or Cornell on Sunday.

Poulakidas went 5 out of 13 from the field (3 for 9 from 3-point area) for the bulldogs (21-7). Nick Townsend scored 12 points, while he scored 3 out of 9 and 6 of 6 from the free sausage line and added 12 rebounds. REG MBeng shot 4 of 7 from the field and 4 out of 5 from the free -wire line with 12 points.

Xaivian Lee ended with 14 points, seven rebounds, six templates and two steals for the Tigers (19-11). Blake Peters added 14 points for Princeton. Caden Pierce also had 11 points and four templates.

Townsend scored eight points for the Bulldogs in the first half, which led 31-25 during the break. Yale took the lead forever with 1:02 in the second half on a 3 pointer from Poulakidas to make it a 59-57 game.
