  • The Atlantic 10 tournament has the reputation of being one of the most unpredictable there. However, the 2 seed has been excluded since the NCAA field was expanded to 68 in 2011. In 2025 it was in the series of George Mason to break this series. Note that the 2024 final contained the 5 and 6 seeds. 4 seeds (4):
  • 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017 1 seed (3):
  • 2013, 2021, 2023 6 seeds (3):
  • 2019, 2022, 2024 3 seeds (2):
  • 2011, 2018 5 seeds (1):
  • 2015 6 bids (1):
  • 2014 (4-6 record, 13 teams) 5 bids (1):
  • 2013 (7-5 record, 16 teams) 4 bids (1):
  • 2012 (3-4 record, 14 teams) 3 bids (5):
  • 2011 (3-3 record, 14 teams), 2015 (2-3, 14), 2016 (2-3, 14), 2017 (1-3, 14), 2018 (2-3, 14) 2 bids (4):
  • 2019 (0-2 record, 14 teams), 2021 (0-1, 14), 2022 (1-2, 14), 2024 (2-2, 15) 1 bid (1):

2023 (0-1 record, 15 teams)

The Atlantic 10 has only placed two teams in three of the last four NCAA tournaments. Due to problems with Covid, the VCU did not deteriorate to play his game against Oregon against Oregon. The RAMs should make it as a large this year, thanks to a network that was almost 30 years old, but an early loss and another adjustments could freeze elsewhere. Duquesne:
2024 (6 seeds) VCU:
2023 (1 seed) Loyola Chicago:
2022 (4 seeds, MVC) Richmond:
2022 (6 seeds) St. Bonaventure:
2021 (1 seed) Saint Louis:
2019 (6 seeds) Davidson:
2018 (3 seeds) Rhode Island:
2017 (4 seeds) Saint Josephs:
2016 (4 seeds) George Mason:
2008 (3 seeds, Caa) George Washington:
2005 (West 1 Seed) Dayton:
2003 (West 2 Seed) Umass:
1996 (East 1 Seed) Fordham:
1992 (1 Seed, Patriot League) La Salle:

1992 (2 seeds, Maac)

Fordham, George Mason, La Salle and Loyola Chicago are the only current 10 members of Atlantic who have not won the conference tournament. Dayton recently won in 2003, although the flyers would have been preferred if the event had taken place in 2020 because they were a probable NCAA seeds of number 1.
