UK Crime Madness as '99 .5% of criminals do not go to prison '| UK | News

Government data have shown that shocking 99.5% of the offenders avoid prison thanks to the fidgeting prison system. Data from the Ministry of Justice (Moj) show that only one perpetrator was prison in 2024.

Of the estimated 13 million crimes committed, only 71,573 led to a prison sentence by a judge or a judge that, according to the analysis of Crime Crush, corresponds to 0.5%of 0.5%. There are also concerns that more than half of the crimes that led to a conviction were committed by almost 10% of those convicted.

The same statistics show that the number of productive offenders has increased in the past ten years, which makes British road more dangerous. Criminals with more than 50 convictions have been detained in more than 50,000 cases since 2017.

The number of career criminals who missed the prison sentence almost praised from 1,289 in 2007 to 3,325 in 2023. Crime Crush started a petition in which harder punishments for productive offenders are challenged that commit most of the crime in the UK.

Lawrence Newport, who founded the group, said: “At the moment, this cohort is confronted by career criminals with reduced prison terms and the prison is avoided at almost record -default level. If these career criminals are kept longer, they protect the public and the crime rates by up to 90%.

“Opening the courts to ensure that the victims no longer have to wait for years for a court proceedings that increase the convictions-and more criminals, knew that they were exposed to efficient legal proceedings, commit themselves and no longer waste the time of the court. For surveillance, we have to set the endless red task.

It happens when the police recorded 5.4 million crimes in order to end fraud, computer abuse and summarizing coaches in September 2024. The crime survey for England and Wales (CSEW) showed that only 41 percent of police crimes are reported.

During this time, this indicates a little more than 13 million crimes. And almost 41 percent of the 5.4 million cases recorded by the police were closed without suspects. A huge 7.1 propc of the remaining cases led to a fee. The Crown Concity Service (CPS) secured 82.8 PC because of these cases.

This means that around 315,342 crimes – or 2.4 percent of the estimated 13 million in total – ended in a conviction and only received 71,573 criminals. Mr. Newport said: “The picture is clear: Of the 13 million crimes committed in one year, only a small part leads to a suspect being charged and an even lower number led to a conviction or a prison sentence.

“The vast majority either does not stay reported, remains unsolved or does not lead to significant consequences for criminals.” For the London Metropolitan Police – the greatest power of Great Britain – less than one in 25 cases (4.28 PC) led to a suspect being charged. In Nortfolk, which was the highest performance, this number was one of eight or 12 percent.

Chris Philip, Shadow Minister of the Interior and Minister of Police Under Rishi Sunak, said the police officers had to return to the basics. He said the police should pursue any request and ongoing pictures of suspects that are recorded via CCTV, video ringing and mobile phones via the national database for facial recognition.

He said a former Minister of Police had set himself a goal of double the number of images of suspects that were analyzed from 100,000 to 200,000. He said: “Productive criminals only belong in a place that is prison to prevent it from being offended.”

A spokesman for the Interior Ministry said that the municipalities all over the country hollowed out the neighborhood police and that the crime were unpunished. They said: “That is why the mission of the” safer streets “of this government promised to restore police work in the neighborhood, to restore the public's confidence in the criminal judicial system, to keep rates of knife crime and violence against women and girls within a decade and the crimes that see people every day in their local areas, of anti -social behavior and fly tips for phone calls and business.

“The local armed forces have already received increased financing to provide the 13,000 additional neighborhood officials that we have committed to organize the beat as part of the government plan.
