What is a good season for Nebraska Football in 2025?

In the coffee show on Saturday morning, Jack Mitchell and Josh Peterson asked questions from subscribers.

One of them is something you will ask in the next few months: What would be a good football season in 2025? They discussed records, vibes, coaches and players.

Below you will find a slightly edited transcript of your conversation in the podcast.

Josh: It is a successful season if you could take part in the playoff race in November. That means I think 6-2. I think if you enter from November 6th to 22nd, then you could go 0-4 and that would be one [crappy] Season. I would just like to talk about a team in November where I hear [Kings of the North] And they say: “Wow, look at Nebraska! It will be difficult, but if you go 4-0, you will be a playoff team! “I think that would mark a successful season.

Jack: When I seven said, I think it is only the necessary minimum that I wouldn't scream: “Ok, it's time to really change things.” But if they wanted me to get out and say that it felt like a successful season. Yes, you are probably right. Eight [wins]Beat Iowa and annoy someone. And I don't include iowa. Go inside and beat Michigan. I don't know who the other upsets would be.

Here is a question. How many options are there even that this makes a significant surprise?

Josh: At the moment on paper, certainly Michigan. You will be a dog [at] Penn State. Maybe USC. I don't know, man. I would like to see the SP+ for some of these early games. As honestly, maybe that's an exercise that I will do next week before our pod. I will create a few points of the point because they are in Maryland, they are in Minnesota. That could certainly be short street favorites, right? You are already preferred against Cincinnati. Maybe with UCLA.

Jack: Is this schedule weaker than last year?

Josh: Yesterday, however, had something about how Nebraska, according to Bill Connelly, has the fourth simplest schedule in the big ten. Not all to be hyrenering. The quarterly schedule of the conference and one of the simplest schedules in the Power Four.

Jack: There are 2.5 games in which you are clear outsiders, maybe only two. This is not me when I pump Nebraska. I only say based on what we know now. Maybe Minnesota would be too, but I don't think that I can win a program in Minnesota. I would say that is Michigan and Penn State and maybe in South Cal. That's it. Yes.
