The Sacred Heart's record dynasty lives after 65-60 victory against GRC in the Khsaa Girls' Sweet 16 State Championship

The story was at stake in the Khsaa Girls' Sweet 16 State Championship Game.

Sacred Heart Academy took over George Rogers Clark For the third time this season, when they wanted to win a record championship in a row in a row. The Valkyries won the two previous meetings at the beginning of the year, but could the Lady Cardinals overcome the chances and go through the surprise?

In the end, Sacred Heart came out and hit Grc 65-60 when they kept their dynasty alive.

GRC was dropped with 12: 3 in the first quarter, but they fought back to make it a 14:10 game at the end of the quarter. The Lady Cardinals tried to find their rhythm offensive and came only 20% (3-15) of their shots that went 0-4 from Deep.

Then GRC would turn up the heat defensively and 14 holy heart sales would force half. For the first time in the sweet 16, the Valkyries were on the ropes. Maybe the dynasty was in danger. During the break it was 31-27 Lady Cardinals.

In the third quarter, however, Sacred Heart would take over a lead of 42-40 with 1:18, which forced a GRC break. The LSU obligation by Zakiyah Johnson, who had 21 points and four rebounds that day, was the main catalyst to give the Valkyries the groundbreaking dynamics.

At the end of the period, it was knotted at 44 each. With eight minutes in the Kentucky Girls' High School season, it was the ball game of everyone – the state championship title of everyone.

With 37 seconds before the regulation, it was still knotted, this time at 60 each. After a GRC time crossing, Tototie Jordan might achieve the greatest free throw in her life to give the Valkyries a one-point lead. In 21 seconds before the end, Donna Moir would call a break to set up her defense.

Then, with the game on the line, Sacred Heart would force sales to seal the game. After the Valkyries had pushed important free throws into the seconds in the Wellbing seconds, they escaped with the victory.

Sacred Heart has now won nine state championships – head coach Donna Moir is part of everyone. She was a newcomer to the team of Team State Championship in 1976 and has trained the Holy Heart for her other eight state championships since 2002.

From Crystal Kelly to Zakiyah Johnson, Moir had some special players in some special teams. Perhaps the most dominant dynasty in the Kentucky High School Sports continued on Saturday evening with a win.
