BVB: HCU drops a few 3-2 duals to start the California trip

San Luis Obispo, California-HCU fell in the Cal Poly Swanson Beach Volleyball complex in a few contested matchups and lost two 3-2 decisions against UC Davis and Santa Clara.


The first dual of the day was the 3-2 defeat against UC Davis (6-4). The first point of the huskies (5-7) came in court two Paige Palmer And Alisia Silverthorn Paired for the first time this season. The duo won in straight sentences (21-18, 21-18). Karla Sanchez George And Lauren Vickery Then Court 4 got a victory and won a 17: 21, 21-19, 15-13 victory and even the score with 2: 2. The crucial point came in court 1 where Kristin Gilmour And Rachel Heilbrun fell into a heartbreaker, 21-15, 17-21, 21-19.


The huskies then met Santa Clara (6-8). The Broncos took the first three points of the dual at dishes 2, 5 and 4. Gilmour and Heilbrun won a victory against those and again scored three sets with a last goal line from 21-13, 15-21, 19-17. The last point of the game was won by Sanchez George and Vickery, again in the Huskies' no. 4 pair that came from 16-21, 21-19, 15-11.


The Huskies are available on Sunday, March 16, two more duals with the Grand Canyon No. 14 at 1:30 p.m. CT, before it faces CT No. 6 Cal Poly at 6:30 p.m.
