Two arrested in Duson after the early morning

Duson, La. – Two people were arrested in connection with a shootout, which took place in Duson early Saturday morning, in which two people were injured.

On Saturday, March 15th, around 3 a.m., the Duson police reacted to an ongoing shootout on the 800 block of the First Street. On arrival, the officers found a person with splinter injuries and learned that another person had been brought to the leg to a local hospital with a non -life -threatening gunshot wound.

During their investigation, the Duson officials found that more than 12 shots had been released by a group of people who had traveled to the house where the incident took place to fight with the residents of the house.

Marcelle Boutin (18) and Preston Nation (20) were issued for Marcelle Boutin (20) arrest commands to try a second degree murder and a second degree murder.

In collaboration with the Lafayette Police Department and the MPs of the Sheriff of the Lafayette Parish, the police of Duson Boutin and Nation were able to locate and arrange in Lafayette. Both are instructed in the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
