Takuma Asano achieved when Mallorca comes back to defeat Espanyol

The Japan striker Takuma Asano scored the second home game in a row when Mallorca came from behind on Saturday against Espanyol in Spanish football in La La La La Liga.

Asano, which has run out of Japan's initial squad for the upcoming qualification games for home, scored a cross from left with a diving head to the level for Mallorca in the 65th minute in the Estadi Mallorca.

Vedat Muriqi from Mallorca had driven from a 53rd-minute corner into his own network, and the Kosovan striker was not able to convert subsequent punishment before Asano compensated.

In a chaotic end, Espanyol Keeper Joan Garcia made his second penalty, this time in front of Abdon Prats, but he was done to face another spot kick after the referee had ordered a repetition. Muriqi received redemption by burying the winner deep into the interruption from the point.

“When we fell back, we didn't give up and continued to try,” said Asano, as quoted by the official Mallorca website. “The majority of the game was difficult, but we continued and played well.”
