Sometimes great films don't get the attention they deserve, and that was definitely the case with “Popstar: never to never stop. This ingenious musical mockmentary is up there with “This Is Spinal Tap” as a titanium of the genre, but unfortunately it flopped at the global box office and seemed to be determined without getting his deserved recognition in the dark.
Fortunately, it has developed a cult support over the years, as more and more spectators discover its hilarious writing, really catchy melodies and brilliant comedic appearances. Even better, it was only added to the Prime Video Movie Library (from March 16), and there has never been a better time to give this highly underestimated musical comedy a chance.
“Popstar: Never never stops stopping” is disrespectful in the best possible way, and although it is extremely silly, it also tells a pretty sweet story about the brotherhood. Let us immerse yourself in what makes this comedy such a special film and why it is one of the funniest flicks of the past decade.

Appears after popular concert films such as “Justin Bieber: Never Say Never”, “One Direction: This Is Us” and “Katy Perry: Part of me”, “Popstar: Never stop stopping” is a fun mockery of spoiled pop stars and the elaborate lifestyles that lead them.
The Spoof documentary with musical comedy trio The Lonely Island follows Conner (Andy Samberg), a former member of a popular group called “The Style Boyz”, which now has an impact under the name “Conner4Real” after the dissolution of a group under the name “Conner4Real”.
While his former bandmates Owen (Jorma Tacone) and Lawrence (Akiva Schaffer) faded into the background, Conner's star has only increased higher, but also his ego. While he is preparing to start his second solo album, he faces music while his superstar status begins to crash and burn.
'Popstar' is pretty much the perfect comedy

One of my preferred metrics for the assessment of a comedy is the ability to queue, and “pop star: never stop never stopping”, which are almost perfect markings. In one of my favorite scenes, Connor reads the terrible reviews for his new album (“Rolling Stones existed the S ** t emoji”) and then explains “let it call us mixed reviews”. And I really use this quote every day.
It is just one of the dozens of unforgettable lines. However, I cannot write out many of them here, because fair warning “pop star: never stop to never stop” can be damn rude. However, it has a real, mischievous attraction and never crosses in unpleasant grossy. Instead, it feels charmingly youthful in the regular use of pots.

It is also not just the script that is well written. The film is also full of fun, but remarkably toe pieces. The notorious song “Finest Girl” (which the texts that I cannot write 100% here) will usually get the most attention, but I am very partisan to “Incredible Thoughts” and “Mona Lisa”.
These songs are funny, but also extremely catchy. Just don't sing some of the texts about the office, because that brings you in hot water.

The biggest advantage of “pop star” is to have one of the best comedic actors of the 21st century in the leading role. Andy Samberg (who wrote the film with his lonely island bandmates) seems to be born to play this role.
Samberg meets all comedy brands flawlessly. He also does an excellent job with the more tender scenes in the film. Connor is a selfish idiot for a large part of the term, but we also see a susceptibility that gives a greater depth.

The supporting line -up also deserves its flowers. Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone (Co-Directors and other members of Lonely Island) have fantastic chemistry with Samberg, and Sarah Silverman and Tim Meadows are great as a publicist and manager of Connor.
There are also a lot of funny camera from real music stars such as DJ Khaled, Seal, Usher, Rihanna, Pink, 50 cents and even Ringo rigid.

It cannot be denied that “pop star” is very silly – there is a light scene in which Connor accidentally stripped naked on stage – but it is also deceptive. It requires well -considered recordings in the music industry and intelligently satirizes the toxic fame machine. In addition, exploring friendship through “The Style Boyz” and potential reunion is really cute.
Perhaps the true magic of “pop star: Never never stops stopping” that I have probably seen it half a dozen times and I have not yet strained. Even when writing this article, I went through my favorite moments, and do not know it, I now have an intensive itching to see the whole film again. That is the sign of a really great comedy.
