Firefighters fight in the city center of Adrian with a big fire

Several fire brigades from the area reacted to the fire that broke out around 6 p.m.

Adrian, Michigan. – Firefighters from the departments in Lower Michigan fought for a big fire on Saturday evening in the Wabj/WQTE building in the city center of Adrian.

The fire broke out in the building on the 100 block of the West Maumee Street near the South Winter Street around 6 p.m.

Photos and videos from the fire showed firefighters who extended the flames near the roof of the building and the ladders to the upper floor of the building.


Madison Charter Township's fire brigade advised people to stay away from the area, while firefighters fought against the fire.

The former representative of the state of Michigan State District 57 Doug Spade says that the departments on site Addison, Addison, Adrian TWP, Blissfield TWP, Deerfield TWP, Madison Charter TWP, Morenci, Palmyra TWP, Raisin TWP, Sand Lake and Tecumseh City belong.

Adrian's salvation army, Michigan, was also on site to help crews on site.

At this point it is unclear what the fire caused.
