Samsung One UI 7 Update publication date, list of supported devices, new AI functions, download

The one UI 7 -update from Samsung, which is based on Android 15, to get with AI improvements in April.

Samsung has officially announced the One UI 7 update, which brings a variety of new functions, AI improvements and performance improvements. The update is based on Android 15 and celebrated on January 22, 2025 with the Galaxy S25 series at the Galaxy Exped event. Samsung has already started with beta tests and the stable rollout is scheduled to begin in April 2025. Beta test extension

Samsung started the One UI 7 Beta program on December 5, 2024, starting with the Galaxy S24 series in selected regions such as the USA, Great Britain, Germany, Korea and India. The beta program was expanded on March 5, 2025 and supported the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 in India, Korea, Great Britain and the USA. Later in March, Samsung, Beta tests on the Galaxy S23 series, is planning to expand the Galaxy Tab S10 series and the Galaxy A55.

The stable version arrives in April 2025

Samsung has confirmed that the official stable update for a UI 7 in April 2025, probably around April 15th. It is then expected that the Galaxy Z Fold 6-, Z Flip 6 and S23 series will receive the update, although Samsung has not shared a precise order for the rollout.

A UI 7: List of supported devices

While Samsung has not yet published a full list, it is officially confirmed that these devices receive the One UI 7 update:

  • Galaxy S25 series – Started with a UI 7 pre -installed.
  • Galaxy S24 series – First, to get the Beta -Stall -Update in April.
  • Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6 – The beta tests started in March, stable update expected in April.
  • Galaxy S23 series – Beta begins in March, stable update expected in April or May.
  • Galaxy Tab S10 series, Galaxy A55 – Beta begins in March, stable update to follow.

Samsung has indicated that more models are included in the update, with its seven-year guidelines for software support for flagship devices and four years for models with medium range.

A UI 7 new AI functions and improvements

Samsung describes a UI 7 as a large upgrade that introduces a refined interface, AI-powered tools and smoother animations. Some of the new functions include:

  • More intelligent AI assistant – Improved suggestions from AI-powered proposals for messaging and productivity apps.
  • Redesigned “now bar” – An updated navigation bar for simpler multitasking.
  • Improved locking screen adaptation – Further personalization options with new widgets and background images.
  • Faster performance – Optimized animations and improved battery management.

As soon as the stable update is available, users can download it by following the following steps:

  1. Open the settings on your Samsung device.
  2. Go to “Software update”.
  3. Tap “Download and Installation.”
  4. If the update is available, follow the instructions on the screen to install it.
