Here is a little wet

College basketball experienced its own version of a rain delay on Saturday.

The championship game of the USA for men basketball between Jacksonville State and Liberty was delayed due to a leak in the ceiling of the roof in the Braun Center. It is believed that the leak was caused by storms in the Huntsville area, Alabama, and the tip switched back to 9:36 p.m.

The water fell from the roof of the ceiling to the courtyard near the goal scorer table while warming up. First of all, towels were used to clean up the chaos on the square before the stadium employees distracted the gap.

But it was still water from the ceiling after the game should start. Other workers of the arena made their way into the rafters in the Braun Center and, according to reporters, placed several tarpaulins under the area of the leak.

The decision to delay the beginning of the Saturday game came before the tip when the players arrived in every team to get the game going. The head coach of Jacksonville, Ray Harper, was the first to point out that water fell off the ceiling, and notified the officials when Liquid continued every 30 seconds, said Al.com.

The C-USA title game is obviously important. In addition to winning the conference crown, the winner will also go to the NCAA tournament, while the loser will almost certainly see how his March madness ends.

Liberty, who won the title of the regular season C-USA and is 27-6 on Saturday, is looking for his seven conference tournament in the program history, but his first conference tournament since he became a C-USA member in the 2023-24 season. It last did the NCAA tournament in 2021.

Jacksonville State became second place in the conference game in the regular season and entered the championship game with a record of 22: 11. It is also looking for its first conference tournament title since joining C-USA in the 2023-24 season. Two conference tournaments were won at Division I level and finally the Atlantic Sun Tournament was claimed for the NCAA tournament in 2022.

Liberty should be a seed no. 13 and the only representative of the C-USA in Michael Decourcy's most recent holder projection.
